Blue Water Raiders, a group of men and women with a passion for dragon boating and enjoying fun both on and off the water, have achieved much since the formation our club in 2004.
With limited competition locally, we set specific goals for events we wish to participate in during the year and then train accordingly.
We have been successful at competing in Masters Games - winning gold and silver medals. We travelled to Broome, entering the Broome Regatta and ultimately taking home the Broome Cup, and we paddled in the Ord River Marathon at Kununarra, a 57 kilometre paddle. We encourage the promotion of sport and becoming involved in the “Be Active” schools program.
Our club promotes a team and family environment for paddlers, arranging family and social paddling days at various bays around Port Lincoln, where paddling with dolphins and seals frolicking in your wake is not uncommon.
We are a young club and are still learning ourselves, but we welcome you to join us on a journey of promoting dragon boating as a sport in Port Lincoln
