Class: Sports – Premier and Masters, Social
The Powerblades Club was established in 1989 and since then has had considerable success in dragon boat competitions locally, nationally and overseas. The Club has been South Australian State Champions in a range of categories since our first success in 1991. The Club won National Open 20’s titles in 1994, 1995 and 1996 and placed second in 1997 and 1998. At the National Championships in Melbourne in 1999 the Mixed team placed second. The Masters team won Gold in the Mixed Masters 500m at the National Championships, Canberra in 2005.
The structured Club training program is designed to enable Club members to develop the strength and fitness base to gain maximum enjoyment from the sport. Training for the 2007-2008 season.
