We are ACDC Adelaide Combined Dragon Boat Club (ACDC). Founded in 2016 by passionate dragon-boaters, we're all about paddling, fun, and fitness. Our mission is to make dragon boating accessible to everyone across South Australia. We offer multiple training sessions in each location, ranging from metropolitan Adelaide to the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Limestone Coast, and we welcome paddlers of all levels.

Whether you’ve never picked up a paddle before, or have your sights set on national or international competition you will find your place with ACDC, and we will provide all the opportunities you need to develop as a paddler. With over 100 members, including families from regional areas, we're a close-knit and inclusive community where camaraderie is as important as the paddlers, and we have a passion for success. Join us and experience the thrill of dragon boat racing with ACDC!

Our Mission Statement

To be recognised as a progressive, cohesive and friendly Club encouraging participation from committed and dedicated members in all age groups.

We were the first Dragonboat club in SA to form a Junior crew (10-18yrs) and it is a fantastic way for them to develop their fitness, leadership and team building skills, health & fitness and it develops an affinity for water. Dragon boating is an inexpensive, but challenging sport. We pride ourselves on being family-friendly, multi-cultural, and inclusive. Although we don’t take ourselves too seriously, our love of the sport and dedication to its growth and development means that ACDC is a competitive force to be reckoned with.

We now have 3 regions in the ACDC family.  They are:

  • Dragon Fire – metropolitan Adelaide
  • Goolwa River Dragons – Goolwa, Fleurieu Peninsula region (100kms from Adelaide)
  • Desert Dragons – Limestone Coast region (approx. 400kms SE of Adelaide)

ACDC welcomes all new paddlers to the Club.  All paddlers are given a Dragon Pass for one month’s FREE membership. After these sessions you will be addicted, will love our Club and its members (who range in age from 10-70+) and will want to join us.
