Mannum Dragon Boat Club

The Rev. John Thompson introduced the idea of Dragon Boat paddling to Mannum in November 2015 and the first meeting was held in January 2016.

Mannum Dragons: foster, encourage, promote and support dragon boating as a healthy lifestyle sport for all members of the community. Dragon boating is a team sport that embraces a deep sense of community and celebration.  Whether you want to be a sport or social paddler, dragon boating is for everyone.

Come along and try dragon boating for something a little bit different. The sport is exciting affordable and addictive, as well as being fantastic for forming friendship, fitness and learning to work together as one. Dragon Boating has been described as the ultimate team sport and once you start watching some racing, you will understand why!!

We welcome all new paddlers to come and try under the Dragon Pass scheme, which entitles paddlers to 30 consecutive days for free. Minimum age of 12 years. We supply all equipment and training, just bring your hat, sunscreen and drinking water, to enable you to have the best experience.

Training:

Although Dragon Boat racing is a summer sport Mannum Dragons paddle all year round (weather permitting) in order to maintain fitness levels. Times vary throughout the year so please refer to our website for current training times.
