Murray Bridge Dragons is a group of local (and not so local) men and women who come together to enjoy fun, fitness and friendship paddling the mighty Murray waters.

The club was originally established in 2004 as Vicki’s Pride Dragonboat Association in honour of Vicki Nottage, a cancer battler who strove to raise funds for a boat to benefit people who did not have access to social exercise. After a long drought that took the boat off the water, a group of locals brought Vicki’s Pride out of retirement in 2015.

Our name change in October 2024 to Murray Bridge Dragon Boat Club reflects our openness to members from all backgrounds and aim to provide a supportive, inclusive and respectful environment.

Paddling with Bridge Dragons is full of opportunities. Not only can you paddle at the level that suits you (and your fitness will improve), but you also get the chance to train as a sweep, drummer or coach! Committee members and volunteers are always needed, and being involved gives you the chance to develop all kinds of skills.

We race in regattas and the Regional Masters Games. There is even the opportunity to paddle at state, national and even international levels if you wish!

But hey, enjoy the social events too – coffee after training, dinners, fundraising initiatives, group fun staying overnight at regattas away …

Get a Dragon Pass from our website and the first four weeks of paddling are free!
